Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies! – Proverbs 31:10
Her virtue, her moral excellence, her body, mind and soul are completely sold out to Jesus. She has no desire to taste, touch or handle the things of the world, she knows who she is in Christ and her desire is to please the Lord in everything she does. This woman does not always understand her Lord’s will. However she is obedient to His word and to the leading of His Spirit, as He has Him with her always. He is her dearest, most faithful friend. This truly is the woman that I so long to be and keep reaching for everyday. I know for myself I fall short and I’m so thankful for the grace and love of God, each and every morning, it’s a new day!
I’ve been so blessed and encouraged to have known some fine Apostolic women to have as an example of living a virtuous life, four of which I will mention had a profound impact on my life:
- Sister Vester Mangun is a prayer warrior.
- Sister Mickey Mangun is a worshiper.
- Sister Barbara Willoughby is an evangelist.
- Sister Carol Terry came, poured in the healing balm and showed the love of God when we were going through some painful trials and, from that circumstance, came a Godly friendship that remains today.
It’s great to have Godly Apostolic women you can look up to as an example to follow.
Women In God’s Service (WINGS) – Our Purpose
Our purpose is to reach the lost and be there for each other in unity, strength and purpose. We cater for women of all age group and, as we grow, our wings will be a covering for many to come and taste and see that the Lord is GOOD!
We believe in a close-knit relationship and our monthly fellowship is our way of tearing down the “hi-and-bye” habit. Whether we’re out for a coffee, a picnic in the park or a get together at someone’s house, we can get to know each other on a personal level, without prejudice or pressure. It’s also our chance to get to relax and wind down.
Ladies of all ages are most welcome to join.
Ladies’ Prayer Meeting
We strongly believe in the power of prayer. Indeed, prayer is one of the most important aspect of our walk with God.
We invite ladies to join us on Wednesday mornings at 11am for a time of prayer.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. – Philippians 4:8
